Asoguabo has made decisions to contribute to the reduction of the water footprint that allows us to achieve a more sustainable planet: almost all of its producers have replaced flood or gravity irrigation with more efficient irrigation systems; The floor level of the packing houses has been raised, allowing great savings in water consumption during the process; Water recirculation projects have been implemented on farms where there is a problem with access to it.
Recover plastic waste from the farms of small producers to be transformed and thus avoid contaminating natural water sources, irrigation canals or affecting the chemical, physical and biological properties of soils.
The Biofactory collects classified plastics (organic-conventional) where they are taken to the factory in charge for processing. The protectors and straps already used are also recycled.
Benefit: the producer who participates in this project receives as an incentive to improve his farm, sunchos.
ASOGUABO, through its technicians, constantly monitors the use of residual oils that are risky and highly polluting materials that require responsible use.
Modern agricultural activity implicitly implies the need to be efficient and, at the same time, to be friendly to the environment. The Good Agricultural Practices, in addition to identifying the sources of contamination by waste from a farm, incorporates a Waste Management Plan, through the collection of burnt oils from the pumps of the irrigation pumping station of the farms of ASOGUABO producers, whose purpose is not to re-use them.
