In order to guarantee collective well-being, we have the Medical Dispensary, whose work is aimed at protection; providing medical attention with health promotion actions, medical assistance is a right, the supply of medicine to the partners, their workers, the employees of the Association of Small Banana Producers El Guabo and the community in general through an accessible service.
Association of Small Banana Producers El Guabo has a health committee that organizes, coordinates and executes activities for medical care days in the medical clinic and in the rural parishes where the producer members and workers of the producers are located. The rural health campaign is made up of a mobile team and care will be aimed at children, older adults, men and women.
For the Association of Small Banana Producers El Guabo, health campaigns are a great opportunity to increase awareness and knowledge about health problems and to mobilize support in all areas for our employees, producers and their workers. Medical services include general medicine, dentistry, vision, laboratory and physiotherapy.
ASOGUABO has been concerned that visual problems can limit our daily life without realizing it, generating insecurities, feelings of misunderstanding and low self-esteem.
Through the dental health program, ASOGUABO seeks to make its members aware of the importance of good dental hygiene, as well as providing adequate treatment and teaching preventive measures for the most frequent dental diseases.
Our members participated in a talk on healthy eating, given by Dr. Marco Albuja, a renowned specialist in preventive and curative medicine from the “Towards a new lifestyle” program.
